Your Questions,
Answered
How do I know which estate planning documents I really need?
Every family situation is unique, which means the ideal plan can include a combination of wills, revocable or irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives. During our initial consultation, we’ll review your goals, assets, family dynamics, and future concerns to recommend only the documents that provide the right level of protection without unnecessary complexity.
Will my loved ones have to go through probate if I work with you?
When structured correctly, many estate plans can avoid or greatly minimize probate, saving your heirs time, stress, and court costs. Ryan often employs living trusts and strategic asset titling to keep your estate out of probate whenever possible.
What happens if tax laws change after I set up my plan?
There are a variety of federal and state tax laws that must be taken into account when preparing an estate plan (i.e., estate tax, generation skipping transfer tax, capital gains tax, property tax). These laws may change over time, but we build flexibility into your documents to help account for potential changes and offer periodic review services to keep everything current.
